During class,, Ms. Benedict passed out test papers. Nelson found a note folded inside his test. The note had a pone number and a cryptic message to call that number after school.
Nelson made the call expecting to hear his own voice. Instead he heard the southern drawl of the football team coach inviting him out to dinner Saturday night. Nelson shivered at the thought. Then wondered if his mother would help him get ready for his first date as a woman?
