Ooh, I love the ending to this. I've thought about that specific plot hole many times, and not once have I seen any story address it. Bravo.
To tell the truth the ending was the most difficult part to write, but then I somehow got to think about a 3-way-switch or a corner-switch, and suddenly the ending of this caption was obvious.
